ABOUT

Teen Reach Adventure Camps, in Lancaster County, launched in 2019. Through this three-day camp, teens build healthy relationships with peers and adults; create positive memories through experiences they wouldn't normally have; and receive hope for their future! This is possible through our challenge course program, custom curriculum, and low camper-to-counselor ratio (2:1).

T.R.A.C.life, in Lancaster County, launched in 2020. This is a year-long mentoring program where youth who have attended T.R.A.C. are paired with an adult who has volunteered at T.R.A.C. Each month they spend time together 1:1 and also hang out during quarterly events.

Teen Reach is a nationwide program that serves teens, between 7th and 10th grade, who were or are in the foster care system. The Teen Reach model is designed to continue Royal Family Kids Camps. Both T.R.A.C. and T.R.A.C.life are ministries of Christ Place Church.

TESTIMONIALS

I have absolutely nothing but praise for T.R.A.C. & T.R.A.C.life...

...My boys have gone to camp for a couple of years now and they thoroughly enjoy it. They are always eager to share what they learned and who they met, once they are back home. I love that the mentoring program digs deep, uncovering the potential in each child and giving them hope for their future.

Camp has become a safe place for me to be honest and let go of the tight hold I have on my personality. This was my last year, but I hope to come back as a volunteer. I hope you understand how grateful we are for the time and energy given to make this camp possible.

The kids are worth it. Plus, T.R.A.C. is one of the most intentionally organized investing/discipling camps I've experienced. The expectations and philosophy are clear and the team makes it easy to come into work and minister with foster kids.

TEEN REACH ADVENTURE CAMPS

A 3-day summer camp for youth entering 7th-10th grade, who are in or have experienced the foster care system prioritize campers who have graduated from Royal Family Kids Camp.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE:

  • 2:1 Ratio...every camp counselor is only paired with two campers.
  • Single-sex camps...we have two separate camps for boys and girls.
  • Camper Names...we emphasize knowing everyone’s name.
  • Challenge Course...where we encourage team building and self-growth.
  • Teachable Moments...through a camp theme, CrossTalk lessons, and activities.
  • Positive and Affirming...each camper receives iSpys and achievements beads.
  • Family Feel...we have camp grandma, grandpa, aunt and uncle.
  • Specialized Staff...we have a behavioral specialist, photographer, nurse, etc.

T.R.A.C.’s vision is to empower at-risk youth through personal development and emotional healing to progress through their teen years and successfully transition into adulthood.

T.R.A.C.life Mentoring

A year-long mentoring program between youth ages 13-18 who have attended Teen Reach Adventure Camp and adults who have previously volunteered at T.R.A.C.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE:

  • Pre-existing Relationship From Camp...Since the mentor/mentee have both been to camp, they share a common bond that helps lay a strong foundation for a successful mentoring experience.
  • Purposeful visits...each visit focuses on one of the five goals:
    • Emotional/Character Growth
    • Educational/Academic Growth
    • Social Growth
    • Athletic/Physical Growth
    • Spiritual Growth
  • Quarterly events...all mentor/mentee pairs meet each quarter for a fun group activity to continue to experience meaningful moments while developing positive, consistent relationships.

T.R.A.C.life’s vision is to provide a safe platform to continue the relationships made at T.R.A.C. through monthly mentoring and quarterly events.
